Open House: An open house is designed specifically to encourage new members to join in a relaxed and informal setting. Activities are offered for the children and active members are present to answer questions and welcome prospectives to our club.
Social meeting: The social meeting is for planning purposes and is run by a board member. Playgroups are scheduled for the following month and other club activities are discussed. Children are welcome to attend, snacks and activities will be provided. All members, including prospective members, are encouraged to attend.
Playgroups: Since we are a newer chapter, we offer mostly all-ages, open playgroups. These might be at local parks and beaches, while others will be hosted by our members within their homes. Playgroups encourage healthy social stimulation for the children... and for the moms as well!! Social meeting: The social meeting is for planning purposes and is run by a board member. Moms night out: One time a month, just the moms get together to socialize! Ho about a movie and dessert, bowling, dinner out, cooking presentations, or a game night?
Field Trips: During any given month, there may be a trip to a museum,, aquarium, grocery store or pet store or even a tour of a fire house!
Family Parties: Throughout the year we plan for family fun - summer BBQ, Halloween Party, December Holiday Party, and Spring Egg Hunt.
Mothers of School-Aged Children (MOSAC): morning coffee meetings geared to moms with children in school and children with young infants.
Community Service Projects: We must complete at least one community service project per year as an organizaion. These events could include can drives for local food banks, volunteering at soup kitchen, adopting local families during the holidays, pajama drive, care packages for military, used book drive
Secret Sisters Swap: This is a great way to show appreciation for other moms in the group. Swap small gifts with another mom for a few weeks. The 'final reveal' is at a playgroup at the end of the month.
Miscellaneous: Join us for stroller walks, help prepare meals for moms with newborns, or assist with larger community activities like the annual Old Saybrook Family Day.
